Online updating of voter id card
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has made the process of updating your address in your voter ID card a very simple process.
Instead of filling different forms and following various protocols, you can do it all with just one single application form.
Changing your residential address on your voter ID card can easily be done by submitting an application form along with the proof of your present address to the Election Officer of your particular constituency.
Known as transposing of name from electoral list, your name will be shifted from your old constituency's electoral list to the new one, with all your details retained.
If you submit changes less than 30 days prior to an election, you must vote at your current polling location.
To use the Online Voter Registration System, you must have a valid Alaska driver's license or state ID card and the information you enter when registering must match the information on your Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) record.
If you do not have a valid Alaska driver's license or state ID, or your information cannot be validated, you may select to register using a paper registration form.
You can update your voter registration information, until 8 p.m. However, if your registration is updated close to an election, your ballot might have to be issued at the county elections office. If you have an Oregon driver license or state ID card, you can update your information entirely online My Vote will send your registration information to your county election officials, who will update your record. A name change needs to be updated by completing a new paper registration form.
All voters can complete a paper voter registration form (PDF), and submit it to a county elections office to update their information.
You can find a voter registration card at a post office, library or county elections office.
